How to Buy Guns Online

We get quite a few inquiries for gun purchases, but most people don't understand how online gun purchases work.  This little post will give you a very short rundown on how this works.  We will not stray from this method, as this is what is legal and what keeps both parties out of trouble with the Feds (visits from the black Suburbans are bad).  As always, please check with authorities in your area regarding the legality of the item BEFORE you make an order.

Once you have settled on a make, model and price (Gunbroker auction, direct quote, etc.) you will need to make payment for your item.  You can do this by following the methods listed in our Terms of Sale.  We do not stray from this.

Once you have made your payment (and this next part is really important) we will need to receive a copy of the current and valid Federal Firearms License of the dealer you wish to have your firearm shipped to.  We DO NOT ship firearms directly to our customers.  We only ship to licensed dealers and any requests to do otherwise will be refused (and possibly reported to the appropriate authorities). We accept FFL copies via email, fax, and common courier.  Email is the preferred method.

Once we have a copy of the FFL for our files, we will arrange shipment.  You will be notified of the shipment and if possible we will notify the dealer as well.  We like to be told when to expect transferred firearms and like to extend the same courtesy to our fellow dealers.

Once the firearm leaves our facility via common carrier, that is the end of our responsiblity.  Each item is fully insured to the maximum allowable amount the carrier permits, and we DO NOT allow shipments to be made without proper insurance.  We will not be held responsible for any damage that takes place at the hands of the carrier.  However, we will be more than happy to help you resolve any issue you have (regarding shipments) to the fullest extent of our abilities.

We hope this helps you understand the proper method for online firearms sales.  As we stated previously, we WILL NOT stray from this methodology.  If you have further questions, we will be more than happy to answer them.  Just contact us via one of the methods on our Contact Us page and we will reply as quickly as humanly possible.

Thank you,
